Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
The program is designed to prepare students for highly rewarding careers in academia and research labs. Students entering this program will be awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering on successful completion of degree requirements.

Program Structure
The coursework of a Ph.D. student must include at least 12 hours of non-research, non-professional development graduate courses at the 4000 level or above. Courses taken for another degree may not be counted. The Ph.D. coursework should also include at least 3 hours of Teaching Assistant (TA) work.
The department offers the following specializations in the Ph.D program:
Process Engineering and Intensification, Water Pollution, Multiphase Flows, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Modeling and Simulation, Microfluidics and Microreactors, Film Formation in Water-Based Dispersions, Applications of Ionic Liquids in Chemical Industry, Reactive Separations, Process Control, etc.
