Scholarships

The University is committed to supporting deserving students in their educational journey. The University offers financial aid and scholarships to students selected through the specified admission criteria(s) in undergraduate programs, covering part or entire academic and living expenses.

Types of Scholarships Offered:

The university offers scholarships to deserving students. The details are given below:

The University welcomes outstanding academic rank holders to study at the University under the Gifted Student Scholarship. Recipients of the Scholarship gain direct admission to the program of their choice.

Students with the following ranks are eligible:

  • Top 100 rank holders in class 12th from CBSE, ICSE, and Cambridge Board of Education*
  • IB grade points 42 & above
  • Top 100 rank holders in class 12th from other State Education Boards*
  • INSPIRE fellows awarded Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)
  • JEE (Advanced) top 500 ranks
  • Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship holders (only for School of Natural Sciences programs)

The University supports students from low-income households with a full scholarship covering all academic and living expenses. Students have to qualify through the regular selection process of the university. The number of scholarships are decided by the Scholarships Committee and their decision is final and binding.

Students from the following schools with combined family income below INR 3 Lakhs per annum are eligible to apply. If your school is not listed below but you meet the low-income cut off and you have received admission to a program of the university, please contact admissions@snu.edu.in

Students with a ranking in their sport from 1 to 100 ranks are eligible to apply. Due weightage shall be given to the certificates of winners/participation at international, national, state-level tournaments in respective sports/games recognized by national/international sports bodies of respective sports/games.

For candidates that wish to avail sports scholarship, it is mandatory to qualify for the PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST and SPORT-SPECIFIC tests (related to the game/sport of the applicant) conducted by the Department of Physical Education and Sports.

The list of Sports offered for Scholarship are:

  • Chess
  • Tennis
  • Badminton
  • Squash and
  • Table Tennis

In addition to these, other team sports may be considered after review by the Shiv Nadar IoE sports committee and if the students are representing the country internationally.

*Note: The scholarships cover tuition fees, hostel fees, and mess charges.

If you have secured admission to a Shiv Nadar IoE program through College Board SAT, you may be eligible for a College Board India scholarship. The following conditions apply:

  1. Must be a resident of India
  2. Family income status < INR 8,00,000 per annum
  3. SAT score equal to or higher than 1300 (out of 1600) that qualifies the test taker as a “Top Performer”
  4. Must have graduated from Class 12 in the year student applies for admission to an Indian Global Alliance member university in India

Meritorious students will be eligible for a special scholarship. Write to admissions@snu.edu.in for details.

Students who receive financial aid or scholarship must maintain a CGPA of 6.5 at the end of every Spring Semester (after consideration of the Summer Semester, if any) to retain their scholarships.

The last date to upload scholarship documents is July 10, 2023.

Financial Aid

Once you are accepted into the program you applied for, you will receive a form to provide additional details. The committee on financial aid will consider all your information and take a decision. The committee's decision will be final and binding.

Come Visit us

The University welcomes you for a tour of the campus and help you get the feel of campus culture, witness first-hand the state-of-the-art infrastructure, meet enthusiastic students, talk to the faculty, and experience for yourself the 'life on campus'. We are open from Monday to Saturday. Our working hours are 9 am to 5 pm.  There are 10 university holidays every calendar year, so, please plan accordingly.
