Prof. Ian Hall of Griffith University, Australia, delivered a lecture at the Department of International Relations and Governance Studies on India's contemporary foreign policy.
Indian foreign policy has undergone a major transition in recent years. Prof. Hall highlighted the complex interplay of diplomacy, reputation and the domestic audience in the shaping of this policy. Prof. Hall made a case for students of foreign policy to pay close attention to linkages between domestic dynamics and foreign affairs. The lecture generated a productive Q&A session in which policy and political matters of contemporary import were discussed.
