B. Des. Degree Eligibility

The program is available to all candidates who have completed 10+2 (or an equivalent) with at least 65% aggregate marks in their top four academic subjects, including English as a mandatory subject. Students who are awaiting their results or currently taking their exams are also eligible to apply as long as they submit the necessary documents meeting the minimum eligibility requirements at the time of admission.

B. Des. Degree Curriculum

During the first year, the focus is on foundational design courses alongside social science subjects covering the applied fundamentals of society, culture, psychology, and sustainability.

In the second year of the course, the focus shifts to advanced foundational design and technology courses, including applied electronics, software, and coding.

The third year further deals with integrated courses in design research, design management, and future technologies. The year also indulges you in individual or group design projects tailored to your interests.

Note: Several universities’ B. Des. courses offer a decision point to their students who might/might not choose to graduate with only a B. Des. degree and might continue toward an integrated B. Des.–M.Des. degree.
