The Department of Art, Media and Performance (AMP) provides a dynamic, intensive, and interdisciplinary MFA program in contemporary art practice, encompassing a wide range of courses in art history, art theory, photography, moving image, painting, sculpture, mixed media, among others.

Overview
The MFA is a two-year (4 semester) practice-based and research-centred program with a focus on experimentation and cultivation of innovative art practices. Students are supported with expert artistic, theoretical and technical guidance. Graduates from this program go on to practice as artists with informed perspectives on current social and political discourses. The Department of Art, Media and Performance (AMP) has a dynamic teaching faculty whose work is widely shown in the country and abroad, thereby impacting the arts regionally, nationally and internationally. A worldwide network of partnerships and collaborations in the institutional and professional sphere is maintained and facilitated for the growth of the department and the benefit of the students.
