Overview

The Bioenergy and Biomaterials specialisation prepares undergraduate students to address pressing global challenges related to sustainability, waste valorisation, and renewable energy. This interdisciplinary track combines core concepts from chemical engineering, environmental science, materials engineering, and alternative fuels to develop innovative solutions aligned with the goals of a circular economy and green energy transition. As part of the specialisation, students will have to complete the following electives in the respective semesters.

  1. Industrial pollution and waste management
  2. Waste to biomaterials
  3. Biomass conversion to bioenergy
  4. Microreactor technology for biofuel production
