The Microwave Lab is a state-of-the-art facility in the Delhi-NCR region, dedicated to advancing research and innovation in high-frequency communication technologies. With cutting-edge infrastructure for mmWave fabrication, measurement, and simulation, the lab stands at the forefront of 5G, 6G, and beyond.

India’s first OAM Antenna: Developed and reported in IEEE, marking a breakthrough in Orbital Angular Momentum research.

Advanced Facilities: High-performance computing, CST Microwave Studio, Keysight ADS, and Coventorware for MEMS design.

Facilities at a Glance

Equipments

Vector Network Analyser (up to 40 GHz), signal generators, spectrum analysers, RF probe stations, and an anechoic chamber.

Fabrication

UV exposer, spin coating, and digital oven for 300–500 micron processes.

Test Benches

Microwave & X-band benches, klystron bench, and antenna trainer kits.

Licenses and Tools

CST (Research & Student), Keysight ADS, and MEMS simulation platforms.

Driving Research and Impact

  • Miniaturised OAM Antenna (SERB/CRG-2023, ongoing).
  • Photoconductive Antenna for THz Communication (DRDO-SSPL, completed).
  • Travelling Wave Amplifier Research (DRDO Extramural, completed).
