Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR Hosts Convocation Ceremony 2022

Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR celebrated its Convocation Ceremony on 28 May 2022. The Guest of Honor for the ceremony was Nobel Peace Laureate Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, Founder, Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation. He was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Sumedha Kailash, Co-Founder Bachpan Bachao Andolan and Founder Bal Ashram.

The ceremony marked a moment of high transition in the lives of 474 of our undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students, each of whom were awarded degrees and special awards during the ceremony.

In his address, Mr. Satyarthi motivated the graduating Class of 2022 by sharing a guru mantra-  "Do not stop learning. Do not lose your self-confidence. These two will see you through everything."

Dr. Ananya Mukherjee, Vice-Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, highlighted the major achievements and accolades of the University and also spoke about the way forward.

"Within a short span of just ten years, Shiv Nadar University has defined a new trajectory for higher education in India. As we look forward to the next decade, we will continue to drive foundational thinking within, across and beyond disciplines – be it the sciences, management and entrepreneurship, engineering, the humanities and social sciences, or art," Dr. Mukherjee said in her address.

Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR conferred an honorary doctorate upon two distinguished individuals this year in recognition of their remarkable contributions. The doctorates were conferred upon Dr. M.K. Ranjitsinh, India's leading wildlife conservationist, renowned author, and former bureaucrat, and Dr. Balakrishna Doshi, one of India's greatest architects and the winner of the 2018 Pritzker Award.

Highest Rank Holders in the University Order of Merit

Student of Bachelor of Arts (Research) in History, Prapti Panda secured the first rank in the University Order of Merit and became a gold medallist of the Class of 2022.

Apurva Ashok Prasad, a student of Bachelor of Arts (Research) in English, secured the second rank and got a silver medal.
