Dr Samit Bhattacharyya, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Shiv Nadar University has collaborated with scientists from several other countries for a survey study to understand public adherence, participation in the countrywide intervention, and its impact on the current pandemic Covid-19.

We all know that presently the entire humanity in the globe is passing through the most difficult times and a worldwide crisis due to the coronavirus. In that light, the Indian government along with many other countries have undertaken a series of steps to contain the spread of COVID-19. Countrywide lockdown, sealing of hotspots, ban on public gatherings & traveling, and to maintain a hygienic lifestyle are few of them. For the first time on a global scale such measures were undertaken and implemented, hence it is unclear to what degree people will adhere to them, which factors determine adherence, what the durability of adherence is, and what the effectiveness of the combined intervention and its components are in reducing COVID-19 transmission.

The survey and project details can be accessed at www.ICPCovid.com
