Dr. Harpreet Singh Grewal, Dr. Harpreet Singh Arora, And Dr. Sumit Tiwari Featured In Stanford University's List Of Top 2% Scientists

Stanford University has released the list that identifies the top 2% of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. Dr. Harpreet Singh Grewal, and Dr. Harpreet Singh Arora,  Associate Professors in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, along with Dr. Sumit Tiwari, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering have been included in the list of scientists who have excelled in research in the fields of Material Science and Energy.

The list, released on October 10th 2022, was created by Stanford experts on the basis of standardized citation indicators like information on citations, h-index, co-authorship, and a composite indicator last year.

Dr. Arora's research interests include use of different surface engineering approaches including Friction stir processing, and Advanced materials for addressing Material degradation, Energy storage, and development of Supercapacitors. Dr. Grewal's research work involves developing bio-inspired superhydrophobic self-cleaning metallic and polymer surfaces with tuned wetting, adhesion, and frictional properties through use of different advanced material and processing techniques. Dr. Tiwari works in development of different solar thermal technologies namely, photovoltaic thermal (PVT) greenhouse drying system, PVT greenhouse heating system, PVT greenhouse biogas heating system, solar still, PVT air collector, PVT air collector integrated drying system, passive cooling of building, and solar adsorption cooling system etc.
