Hydrologist Dr. Himanshu Kulkarni receives the 2025 International Water Prize

Dr. Himanshu Kulkarni, Professor of Practice from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Shiv Nadar University, has been named the 2025 recipient of the International Water Prize, a biennial award sponsored by the OU Water Technologies for Emerging Regions (WaTER) Center. The prestigious honour was awarded to him at the University of Oklahoma WaTER Symposium for his notable contributions to the field of water supply and sanitation for developing regions. 

Dr. Kulkarni earned his doctoral degree in geology from Pune University in the state of Maharashtra, India, in 1987. With over 40 years of experience his research spans groundwater, water management, rural development and management and water governance.
