Cumulant Expansion Scheme for Dissipative Quantum Many-body Systems

- Abstract:
An efficient numerical framework is essential for capturing thefundamental physical mechanisms of dissipative quantum many-body systems,
which encompass a wide range of models in condensed matter physics, quantum optics, and quantum information processing. I wil present a generic introduction to this particular field, and briefly mention, in case of long-range interaction with global/local dissipation, how challenging it is to simulate on our computers. To date, only a fewnumerical techniques exist to tackle this issue, and the cumulant expansion scheme is one of them. In my presentation, I will first review the cumulant technique and then demonstrate how we have developed the methods to compute beyond-equal-time correlation functions for these systems using cumulants. Finally, I will compare our results with existing experimental observations of photon (anti)bunching in quantum optics. Keywords: Quantum many-body systems, Dissipation, Cumulant expansionscheme, Beyond-equal time correlations
