Co-operatives, Development and Higher Education



The overarching purpose of this conference is to promote greater cooperation between cooperatives (and related self-help groups), institutions of higher education, NGOs, and foundations—especially in the agricultural and handicraft sectors in rural regions of India.

More specific goals include exploring how such organizations can be supported in adopting more sustainable production techniques, gaining improved market access, engaging in value-added activities, and collaborating more closely with related institutions.

A key cross-cutting theme of the conference will be documenting the impact of these organizations in relation to specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
