Position Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented and experienced professional to manage the end-to-end administration of our university website and related digital platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless website performance, implement updates, monitor analytics, and optimize user experience while maintaining the university's brand identity.
Key responsibilities:
- Website Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the University’s websites, including updates and content uploads, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the university's strategic goals.
- Ensure websites are fully functional, up-to-date, and compatible with all major browsers and devices.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential website issues through regular health checks, minimizing disruptions to user experience.
- Manage domain registrations, hosting, and SSL certificates to ensure uninterrupted web services.
- Prioritize and manage website maintenance tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
- Fostering strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve website objectives.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to ensure clear and timely project execution.
- Website Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
- Strategic SEO optimizations and content enhancements, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Increase user engagement by consistently producing high-quality, relevant blog content.
- Optimize website user experience by effectively managing and redirecting inquiries to relevant departments, strengthening university connections
- Web Projects (Creation/Implementation):
- Translate branding concepts into high-converting landing pages, driving the increase in registrations and campaign engagement.
- Lead the entire lifecycle of landing page development for high-profile international events, demonstrating project management and technical proficiency.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with design and organizational teams to create visually compelling and functionally optimized landing pages.
- Ticket/Query Management, Stakeholder Engagement
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills by effectively managing and completing a high volume of website management requests through the OTRS ticketing system.
- Effectively redirecting specific relevant requests to the respective departments, building strong communications and relationships in and around the university.
- Vendor Management and Performance Optimization
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors to ensure seamless platform operations and minimize service disruptions.
- Implement a robust vendor performance management framework
- Proactively identify areas for vendor improvement and provide constructive feedback to drive performance enhancements aligned with university standards.
- Effectively manage vendor contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to protect the university's interests and optimize resource allocation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Web Development, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in website management
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and other web programming languages
- Expertise in CMS platforms
- Familiarity with web analytics tools
- Experience with SEO tools and techniques
- Knowledge of web hosting and server management
- Experience with version control systems
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
