The Department of Physics, School of Natural Sciences, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, invites applications from motivated individuals seeking a dynamic and competitive work environment. We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in electronic systems, particularly in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical/electronic devices and associated circuits used in undergraduate teaching laboratories and research labs.

Mandatory Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Physics / Materials Science (with first class or equivalent grade in all preceding degrees and a consistently good academic record) followed by minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience OR
  • M.Tech. (after M.Sc. in Physics / Materials Science or related disciplines) with minimum 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience

The experience must include developing, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of scientific instruments and experimental setups.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair physics (or similar) laboratory experiments, preferably in a university or educational environment.
  • Hands-on expertise in analog and digital electronics/microcontrollers/sensors/data acquisition systems and basic 3D printing.
  • Experience in guiding or mentoring UG/PG students in exploratory/innovative projects based on electronics, instrumentation, and/or materials science will be given strong preference.
