Assistant Professor - Design

The Department of Design, School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (Deemed to be University) invites applications for Teaching positions in one or more of the following areas as per the details below:
1. Product Design
2. Visual Communication Design
3. Design for sustainability
4. UX/UI Design
5. System Design
6. Service Design
7. Design with Basic Electronics, IoT, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality

Eligibility

a. Candidates with a PhD (or those in the final stages of completion) from a recognized university of repute in India or abroad may apply
b. Candidates with Master Degree and minimum experience of five years in Academics/ Research/Industry may also apply.

Note: At least one prior degree in Design (B. Des. or M. Des.) is mandatory.
The Department of Design is young and aims to be among the best in India. Toward that ambition we are looking to select young faculty with a passion for Design in all the key fields mentioned above. We welcome applications from scholars who are especially enthusiastic about teaching and research.

The application package must contain the following:
1. A design portfolios.
2. Teaching statement (to include the courses they have taught or can teach)
3. Research Statement (to include completed, ongoing projects and research plan)
4. Latest complete CV with references
5. Recent photo— Color, Passport size
6. Candidates with PhD need to provide a copy of the PhD degree and a copy of an
original, peer-reviewed paper (if published or accepted for publication)
7. Candidates pursuing PhD should provide a research paper from the thesis, if
applicable.
