MS in Computer Science Engineering (Part-time)

Objectives

The MS in Computer Science and Engineering part-time program is designed to prepare students for advanced careers in academics and industry. At the intersection of theory and practice, our curriculum offers a comprehensive exploration of emerging research areas through hands-on projects, collaboration with industry experts, and engagement in real-world challenges culminating in developing a thesis. Minimum Eligibility Criteria
 

Educational Qualification

MS - Computer Science and Engineering – Part Time mode

BTech (CSE, EE, ECE, ME), MCA, M.Sc (CS, Maths, Physics, Statistics/OR)

At the time of applying for MS(CSE) program, the candidate should have knowledge of data structures and at least one programming language. Students coming from UG backgrounds other than CSE may be required to do a few bridge courses as may be necessary.

*Part Time applicants should be working in the relevant area (Industry/Academic Institutions) for a minimum of 2 years. Candidates are required to produce a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of admission.

 

Selection Process

The eligibility criteria mentioned above are the minimum requirement. Written tests and interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held on the dates mentioned above.  Final selections will be based on past academic performance, written examination, and interview.

Syllabus for Written Test

The Syllabus for the written test will be as follows:

  • Logical Ability Test
  • Mathematical Sciences – Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Elements of Combinatorics
  • Computer Science – C/C++ Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms

Fees Structure, Fee Waivers and Assistantships

Detailed information about the fee structure are available on the website. Shiv Nadar IoE does not provide fellowship/assistantship to part-time students.

Application Fees

The application fee is Rs 1200 for all programs under the School of Engineering (SoE).

    • Passport size color photograph
    • Current CV
    • All Mark sheets/Degree Certificates (10th Standard onwards)
    • Standardized Examination certificate- CSIR, UGC, GATE, etc. (If applicable)
    • A Statement of Purpose

After online submission, take a printout of the submitted form for your record. Please note that the application is deemed incomplete until we receive all the necessary prescribed documents and the application fee.
