Dr. Priyanka Katiyar is an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence. Her research focuses on sustainable technologies for waste valorization, clean energy production, green materials, advanced separation, and resource recovery. Her research interests include thermochemical conversion and pyrolysis, catalytic processes, membrane-based separation, palladium extraction, supercritical fluid extraction, and sustainable wastewater treatment.
Specifically, she works on converting industrial, agricultural, and municipal wastes into value-added products, including bio-oil, biodiesel, platform chemicals, green graphene, and biochar-based membranes with applications in energy production, energy storage, and industrial effluent treatment.
Dr. Katiyar has published extensively in Scopus-indexed journals, including leading Q1 journals in the areas of sustainability, waste management, energy, and separation processes. Her research has attracted funding from national agencies and industry, with projects supported by organizations including DST, ANRF, CST-UP, and HCLTech.
Her research contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 6, 7, 9, and 12, through the development of technologies for clean energy, resource recovery, environmental protection, and sustainable industrial processes. She is also actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and interdisciplinary research.
