Dr.Kamal Agrawal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi NCR, India. He received his PhD in Wireless Communications from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2023, where his doctoral thesis was awarded distinction in doctoral research. He also holds an MTech. in Signal Processing from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a B.Tech. (Hons.) in Electronics and Communication from Uttar Pradesh Technical University.
His research interests encompass Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), underwater optical wireless communication, UAV-assisted and full-duplex cooperative networks, energy-harvesting systems, next-generation multiple access techniques (NOMA, RSMA), and reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided communications. He currently serves as Principal Investigator on an ANRF PM-ECRG-funded project (2025–2028) focused on battery-assisted low-power IoT communication for URLLC systems.
Dr Agrawal is a recipient of the UGC-NET and GATE-MHRD fellowships, as well as a European Union’s Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Grant for a research exchange at University College Dublin. He is an active member of IEEE and the IEEE Communications Society, contributing regularly as a reviewer and Technical Programme Committee member for leading IEEE conferences.
