Second Workshop of 'The Biopolitics of Global Health After COVID-19: An Anthropological and Philosophical Inquiry' to be Held at Shiv Nadar University, December 2024

We are pleased to announce the second workshop of the ongoing project, The Biopolitics of Global Health After COVID-19: A two day anthropological and philosophical inquiry that is taking place at Shiv Nadar University in December 2024. By bringing together the leading global philosophers, sociologists, and anthropologists, this project examines the complex biopolitical landscapes created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The workshops seek to explore diverse ways of responding and living through the pandemic in different regions of the world. Traditional disciplinary boundaries are challenged, and they invite collaboration between philosophy and ethnography to think through global health in the post pandemic world in and out of an era of inclusion.

This is one of a series of workshops spanning several venues including Delhi, and is an important intellectual effort at understanding how the pandemic feels through biopolitical thought.
