Role of auxiliary miRNA biogenesis factors in ageing and age-related diseases

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB-CRG sponsored project, “Role of auxiliary miRNA biogenesis factors in ageing and age-related diseases”, under the Principal Investigator, Dr. Geetanjali Chawla, Department of Life Sciences (DLS), School of Natural Sciences, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (SNIoE), Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, 201314 (U.P.).

The position/s is temporary and is available immediately.  Applications are accepted till 24^th September 2025.

Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with any National level Test (NET, GATE) qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with National Level Test qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course.

Desirable: Candidates with hands-on experience in advanced RNA biology techniques and/or Drosophila genetics will be given preference.

Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- pm + 8% HRA

Duration: The contract duration shall be until December 31, 2025, and may be extended based on funding availability and a satisfactory assessment of progress.

Project Description: The project aims to characterize the role of auxiliary miRNA biogenesis factors in ageing and age-related diseases using the fruit fly model.
