Assistant Professor

The Department of Design, School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (Deemed to be University) invites applications for faculty positions as per the details mentioned below.

The applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professors in Design with specialization in Visual communication (Visual Narratives, Typography, Photography, Animation, Game Design, etc.)
 

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidates with PhD (completed/ Thesis submitted/ Pursuing in final stage) from the recognized university of repute in India or abroad.
2. Candidates with Master Degree and Experience in Academics/ Research/Industry (Minimum 5 years)

Note: At least one prior degree in Design (B. Des. or M. Des.) is mandatory.
 

The Department is young and seeks to acquire faculty expertise in all the key fields within the discipline of Design. It welcomes applications from scholars who are passionate about teaching and research.

The application package must contain the following items:

1. The Design portfolios of the candidates is mandatory.
2. Teaching statement (must include the courses they are or they can teach)
3. Research Statement (must include their research interest and the plan for new labs)
4. Latest full CV
5. Recent photo— Color, Passport size
6. Candidates with PhD need to provide a copy of the PhD degree and the copy of an original, peer-reviewed paper (if published or accepted for publication)
7. Candidates pursuing PhD need to provide, and a research paper published from his/hers PhD work.
