At the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, research, teaching, and creative activities work together to enable students to become engaged critical thinkers. The Department’s research consists of literary authorship, which creates new knowledge in art, or scholarly research, which adds new knowledge by examining texts and other cultural artifacts in the pursuit of particular lines of scholarly inquiry. The interdisciplinary departments of the School foster creative scholarship and intellectual collaboration.
