B.Sc. (Research) in Economics and Finance
The Department of Finance, Accounting and Control (School of Management and Entrepreneurship) and The Department of Economics (School of Humanities & Social Sciences) has taken the lead to jointly offer the first-ever inter-disciplinary program involving multiple schools at the University. It leverages the inter-linked departments' strengths in training and developing the students to succeed in the highly competitive world of Money and Finance.

Program Curriculum
The curriculum of the analytically, and quantitatively focused undergraduate program in Economics and Finance is designed to provide the students with a broad and deep understanding of forces that influence markets and institutions in general, and financial markets and financial institutions in particular.
The curriculum balances rigorous Economic and Finance theory with an exhaustive quantitative focus that will enable the students to translate theory to practice. The program consists of a set of core courses, a wide variety of elective courses, and specifically identified analytical, quantitative, and computing courses from allied departments like Mathematics and Computer Science.
The students of Economics and Finance also undergo a mandatory research seminar course that will equip them with Level-1 research experience and provide a strong grounding on research-based career choices. The program will culminate in a semester-long internship or a research thesis.
Pedagogy
The teaching-learning process for students of B.Sc. (Economics and Finance) uses a wide variety of methods, including case studies, lab-based financial modelling, and industry interaction, in addition to classroom lectures and tutorials.

Career Outcome
This program will provide students with a platform to pursue, according to their own interests, a wide range of career paths including financial services, analytics, banks, consulting, policy institutes, regulatory bodies, think tanks, and higher education, amongst others.
Eligibility and Admission Process
Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the BSc (Research) in Economics and Finance. However, students must have taken Mathematics up to Class XII to be eligible for the selection process to this programme.
Minimum eligibility
- 10+2 or equivalent from any statutory educational board with 65% or equivalent in grade point averages.
- Admission tests: (1) SAT by the College Board [OR] (2) SNUSAT by Shiv Nadar University

Application Process
The candidates must fill an online application form followed by appearing in the SNU Student Aptitude Test (SNUSAT). The candidate will be notified of his/her selection to the program based on the admission cut-off determined by the University.
Academic Collaborations
The university has ongoing academic collaborations with several international Universities, which students of economics can benefit from. For instance, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has a tie-up which allows students to visit the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology under an exchange program.
