Program Structure

The Department of Civil Engineering offers a comprehensive Ph.D. program in various streams of Civil Engineering. The thrust areas of the department are (I) Sustainable Infrastructure Systems, (II) Water, Environment and Climate, and (III) Urban Network Systems. The thrust area encompasses various subdomains, which are as:

Sustainable Infrastructure Systems: It covers Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, & their related domains.

Water, Environment, and Climate: It covers Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Remote Sensing, Climate Science & their related domains.

Urban Network Systems: It covers Transportation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, & their related domains.
