Virtual Reality Lab
In the future, virtual reality (VR) technology is expected to impact every aspect of how people perceive and experience the world. VR is expected to do the same as the internet did in transforming how people collaborate, communicate, search for information, and visualise ideas. The practice of Design is also expected to see a significant impact from 3D modelling and printing to accurate, realistic digital twins in VR.
The Virtual Reality Lab is an experimental lab where students may explore the future use cases of VR technology. It has a state-of-the-art VR kit (HTC VIVE Pro 2), a high-end workstation and software for designing and developing future-oriented projects. Evolving areas of VR application are Training and Simulation, Collaborative Product Design, Interior/Exterior Design, etc.
