Clean Room
A cleanroom is a controlled contamination (e.g. dust, aerosol particles, chemical vapors, airborne microbes, etc.) free environment used in scientific research for making electronic chips, devices, drugs, etc. The level of contamination is specified by the number of particles/m3 at a specified particle size. For example, the ambient air outside in a typical urban environment contains 293,000 particles/m3 in the size of 5 microns and larger in diameter, while 10000 class cleanroom contains only 2930 particles/m3 of same particle sizes. This cleanroom research facility is being developed for fabricating devices related to electronics, sensing, magnetic, micro-fluidic and bio-medical applications.
