Mausumi Das joined the Department of Economics, Shiv Nadar University as a professor in July 2024. She has previously held faculty positions at the Delhi School of Economics, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and the Institute of Economic Growth, and also held visiting faculty positions at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Delhi Centre, Ashoka University and the National Council of Applied Economic Research. She is a serving member of the Advisory Committee on National Accounts Statistics (ACNAS), Government of India. Mausumi received her Ph.D. from the Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her area of specialisation is economic growth and macroeconomics of development. She has published research articles in top field journals such as the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, the Journal of Economic Growth and the Journal of Development Economics. She is at present an Associate Editor of Economic Modelling and the Journal of Economic Asymmetries.
