Dr. Sanket Pai is a design researcher and an industrial designer. He holds a joint PhD from IIT Bombay, India, and Monash University, Australia. His doctoral research topic was 'Design Interventions in Farm Equipment for Indian Small Farmers.' He has seven years of experience in education, machine building, and product design. He holds an MDes in Industrial Design from IIT Bombay and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Goa University. His work experience includes working as an Asst Prof in the mechanical engineering department at Padre Conceição College of Engineering Goa, as a  Senior Engineer in Mechanical design at Bosch Ltd, as a project research associate at IIT Bombay, and as an Asst. Prof in Product Design at UnitedWorld Institute of Design. He has also worked on design consultancy projects and design thinking workshops for various industries. His research interests encompass product innovation, inclusive design, purposeful game design, speculative design, and sustainable design futures
