RF and Microwave Research Group

RF and microwave research group focuses on the analysis, design and realisation of high frequency devices and components for microwave to Tera Hertz frequency applications.

The group conducts fundamental and applied research in electromagnetics, microwave active and passive component-based circuits as well as antenna and array designs.

Group is equipped with hardware measurement setup, high performance computing and software ( CST Microwave studio, Advance Design System tools).

We are pioneer of OAM antenna in India and strength to design the Photo Conductive Antenna for Tera-Hertz frequencies.

1. Exploration of metamaterial waveguides, antennas in biomedical field of study.
2. Antennas: Optoelectronics Antennas for Terahertz applications, Mm and Sub-mm wave antenna, OAM antenna, MIMO antenna
3. Circuits design: Active and passive RF circuit designs
4. 5G and beyond: a) Beam formation and tracking at mm wave frequencies
5. b) IRS/RIS for 6G communications
