Department of History and Archaeology and Max Weber Forum - South Asian Studies holds Round Table Session on Towards Inclusive Global Histories: Challenges and Possibilities
As part of the ongoing MoU with the Max Weber Forum for South Asian Studies, the Department of History and Archaeology is organising a two-day event on the emerging field of Global History. The department will be hosting roundtable sessions on "Towards Inclusive Global Histories: Challenges and Possibilities" at IIC New Delhi, on April 5 from 10.30 to 4.00 p.m. This session will be followed by a Keynote Lecture by Prof. Jahnavi Phalkey, Science Gallery, Bengaluru, at 6 pm on "Territory, Wealth, and Income of India".
On April 6, a doctoral workshop on Global History will be held at D 330, Shiv Nadar University campus. The opening lecture will be delivered by Dr Projit Mukherji, Department of History, Ashoka University, on Casting Smells: A Geno-Sensory History of the Caste in Early Postcolonial India, followed by panel presentations by participants.
