Bringing together scholars from India and abroad, the 2nd Conference on Domestic Governance in China was held on 28–29 August 2025 at Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi NCR, and delved into the theme, “Evolving State-Society Relations.”

Report of the 2nd Conference on Domestic Governance in China

Co-organized by the Centre of Excellence for Himalayan Studies (CHS), Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), New Delhi, and the MIT School of Government, MIT World Peace University, Pune, the conference explored how China’s Communist Party-state negotiates power, reforms, and innovation—shaping governance at home and projecting influence globally.
