Numerical modelling, simulation and CFD

The department is actively modeling and simulating various chemical processes and operations. The CFD modeling of various challenging areas, like the coupled problem of polymerization in flow microreactors, hydrodynamic studies of multiphase flow in microreactors, etc., are actively researched. To support this, the department has one full-fledged UG lab with i7 processor-based PCs for teaching and research work. HPC facility available with the university further augments the research in this area.
