Desportivo 20, the sports fest of LNMIIT, Jaipur, was held from 24th to 26th January 2020. Shiv Nadar University participated in the event with a big contingent of 68 participants of different games such as Badminton (Boys/Girls), Basketball (Boys/ Girls), Football, Lawn tennis (Boys). SNU Badminton team defeated Vivekanand institute of professional studies, BML Munjal University, LNMIIT Jaipur, Jawahar Navodaya Samiti. In the finals, SNU Badminton Team defeated Guru Nanak Khalsa College.

SNU Open Badminton Tournament 2020

The SNU Open Badminton Tournament was organized by the Department of Physical Education on the 1st & 2nd of February 2020. The tournament was conducted in two categories - singles & doubles for both boys and girls. The results are as follows:

SNUSL Table Tennis

Table Tennis  SNUSL (BOYS/ GIRLS) 2019-20, finals was played on 31st January 2020 at Central Hall organized by Department of Physical Education along with Sports Committee. All four clubs BULLS, PHEONIX, PANTHERS, FALCONS participated in the league.

The Boys final match was played between PHEONIX and FALCONS. PHOENIX defeated FALCONS by 3-2.

Table Tennis Tournament for Faculty & Staff

The Department of Physical Education is delighted to announce Table Tennis Tournament for Faculty & Staff  (Male & Female) which will be held on the 18th & 19th of February 2020.

We cordially invite all those who are interested in competing to send in their entries latest by the 17th February 2020 on or before 03:00 pm. We encourage all Faculty & Staff members to participate, regardless of skill or experience. Matches on both days will be played from 1600hrs onwards.


Republic Day Run 2020

On the auspicious occasion of Republic day, Shiv Nadar university consummated the “Republic day run” organized by the Department of Physical Education, Sports committee and their volunteers on January 26th, 2020. The purpose of this run is to bring the community together as a whole as this day is proof of our vibrant and diverse heritage, culture and people. Students, Faculty, Staff members of Shiv Nadar university were lined-up at the start line to run a 5-km race in a lush green campus of Shiv Nadar University with a mixture of nerves and anticipation. 

SNUSL Table Tennis

TABLE TENNIS SNUSL 2019-20 will be held from 27th to 31st January 2020. The event will be for both boys and girls. The league will be played on a single league with an eliminator and final match. Order of matches will be as 1st singles, 2nd singles, 3rd doubles, 4th singles, 5th singles. All the standard rules of TTFI will be followed.


Inter Hostel Football Tournament 2020

The Department of Physical Education is Organising Inter Hostel Football Tournament on 30th & 31st January 2020. The different hostels in all the clusters will make an individual team and a knock out basis tournament will be played.

Rules and regulations of the Tournament are as follows:

1. Each hostel has to make its own team from its residents.
2. Each team will have 9 players and 6 substitutes for a total size of 15.
3. Rolling substitution is allowed.
4. The matches will be played on a knockout basis.
5. There is no offside rule.


Republic day Run

To commemorate our country's 71st Republic Day, we are organizing a “Republic Day Run” on 26th January 2020 for the entire SNU community.

Keeping this in mind, the purpose of this run is to bring the community together as a whole. The involvement of the entire SNU community is welcome as this day is proof of our vibrant and diverse heritage, culture and people.
