The 3rd Budget Seminar: Analyzing the Union Budget 2024 with Keynote by Professor Kaushik Basu
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, will organize "The 3rd Budget Seminar" on July 30, 2024 at Juniper Hall, India Habitat Centre, following on the heels of Budget 2024, presented by the Honorable Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
The seminar, which will take place a week after the Budget 2024 announcement, will allow attendees to take a reflective view of the Union Budget for FY25. The discussion will begin with a welcome address by Professor Ananya Mukherjee, Vice-Chancellor of Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, and a keynote by Professor Kaushik Basu, former Chief Economic Advisor, Government of India, on the state of the Indian economy.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on the budget. Professor Mausami Das, Professor, Department of Economics, Professor Partha Chatterjee, Dean of Academics, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Mandar Oak, Professor and Head, Department of Economics, and Professor Indranil Sen Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, will lead the conversation. The session will be moderated by Professor Rajat Kathuria, Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences; Professor, Economics.
