Dr. Sonal Singhal (Senior Member, IEEE) is a Professor and the Associate Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, India. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship and served as a split-site research scholar at the Sustainable Research Division, University of Nottingham, UK. She has also served as a Visiting Researcher at the Global College, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (GC, SJTU), under the Shanghai Sci-Tech Co-Research Program.
Dr. Singhal’s core research expertise lies in VLSI design and fabrication, resulting in over 45 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications in these fields. Her current research focuses on the design of reliability-aware novel CMOS logic architectures, silicon lifetime management frameworks for in-memory computing architectures, and spiking neural networks utilizing HKMG and FinFET technologies. Furthermore, she is the recipient of an externally funded research grant under the Fast Track Scheme for Young Scientists from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
Dr. Sonal focuses on the design of Reliability-Aware novel CMOS logic architectures In-memory computing architecture, spiking neural networks at HKMG and FinFET technologies.
