Projects

The Centre of Excellence for Himalayan Studies undertakes multidisciplinary research projects focused on the ecological, cultural, and socio-economic dynamics of the Himalayan region. The centre promotes collaborative research in areas such as climate change, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, traditional knowledge systems, and community resilience. Through field studies, data analysis, and partnerships with academic institutions, government bodies, and local communities, the centre aims to generate knowledge that supports evidence-based policy making and sustainable management of Himalayan resources. These projects also encourage student participation, capacity building, and the dissemination of research findings through publications, workshops, and outreach programs.
