Job Description 

Purpose of Job:

Primary: Revenue Generation: Sales, Marketing and Business Development for SEEPD.

Secondary: Teaching courses in Retailing for UG/MBA programs

Head of Placements for SME.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for driving Executive Education and Professional Development Sales, Marketing and Business Development functions
  • Establishing a comprehensive portfolio of contracted visiting faculty
  • Overseeing and facilitating the design and development of a full calendar of Executive Education offerings
  • Personally driving Business development, Program Marketing and Customer acquisition
  • Establish Partnerships with the full range of providers and stakeholders: institution, content partners, media et. al)
  • Accountable for revenue generation per agreed targets for both lines of business
  • Developing market intelligence, advertisements, marketing material along with SNU marketing team for both online and offline channels
  • Developing flagship Corporate Accounts for the SNU executive and PD programs across major centers both domestic and international
  • Manage Account Relationships , refinement of offerings in the light of changing requirements and customize  accordingly
  • Be responsible for Service Quality in program delivery, Customer Satisfaction assessment and ongoing improvements in the same. Managing evaluation and follow up reporting on each program.
  • Hiring and managing a team as well as 3rd party resources
  • Interfacing with Faculty and SME’s with respect to the program developed by them, understanding the same and proposing changes as per the client needs after discussions.
  • Negotiating with venues (wherever required) responsible for logistics and meeting the needs of the participants and faculty to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Marketing long term degree programs including MBA/PGDM’s to employees of the prospective clients- showcasing the same as an option which would create more opportunities for them both internally and externally.

Additional Requirements with SME: 

  • Teach UG and MBA courses as requested per relevant expertise [ Exact teaching loads to be determined as per schedule and feasibility].
  • Take on the Principal Placements Role for SME . Work closely with the CDC team
  • Liaison with Managers/Executives from the Industry to promote the Industry- Institute collaboration for Placements as well as other institutional building activities- Consultancies, executive training and Industry exposure for students.
  • Represent the institute at various conferences organized by the industry and other professional forums to enhance visibility of the SME brand.
  • Supervise the preparation of brochures and other documents to be shared with the Industry/clients related to Placements.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Running Programs approved by the Director per an agreed program calendar and schedule
  • Ensuring programs match/exceed an agreed standard of quality as validated by a review by the Director and feedback from participants and program sponsors
  • Ensuring programs are cash positive—i.e, generate profits for SNU unless explicitly agreed in particular cases –for example first time programs or experimental programs
  • Keeping the Director SEEPD fully informed and updated regularly on all activities initiated on behalf of the school
  • Ensuring that all activities/initiatives/programs conducted by EE for SEEPD remain in compliance with University and UGC regulations as well as the laws of the countries where we operate.
  • Ensuring that the team reporting to him is motivated, productive, engaged and equitably treated at all times
