FAQs

1. I have multiple SAT/ACT scores, which one shall be considered by the university?

We will use your highest section scores from any test date. You may resend your updated SAT or ACT test scores if you improve them after you have received the admission offer and want to upgrade your program/major based on your new test scores.

2. Are Writing Section scores mandatory?

Writing Section Score for both SAT and ACT vary from program to program. Please refer to the standardized test requirements table for specific details.

3. What happens if I have SAT score from the old format?

Scores of candidates who had written SAT as per old format will be mapped using concordance tables available from College Board (USA).

4. Do you provide any specific scholarships to international students from Nepal and Bhutan?

Yes, we provide a merit-based full tuition waiver for up to 5 students ranking among the top 100 in the Nepal/Bhutan Board Exam (NEB/BCSEA).

5. What is the medium of instruction in classrooms?

The medium of instruction in classrooms is English. All course material is also in English.

6. Does the University offer any opportunities for students to work and study simultaneously?

The University does offer opportunities for students to work and study simultaneously through On-Campus-Jobs (OCJs) with the University’s various departments. There are regular, limited openings for such positions which offer a fixed stipend of Rs 100 per hour. You can find out more about OCJ in the Student Handbook.

7. Are there any wellbeing services for international students in case they experience homesickness, cultural shock, etc.?

There are two psychologists (counsellor) always on campus as part of the services offered by the Health and Wellbeing Center in the University. A psychiatrist also visits the campus once a week. The Center also has a support group of 20 students to provide additional assistance to promote emotional and mental wellbeing.

8. Does the University offer any medical services on campus?

The Health and Wellbeing Center on campus run by Blue Circle Medi Services Pvt. Ltd. offers OPD services on all days except Sundays. The Nursing Staff, Doctor (Physician) and Physiotherapist working at the Center all reside on campus. There is also a Pharmacy at the centre where you can get Over the Counter medicines.

9. Is there a bank on campus?

There is a branch of HDFC bank on campus. There are two ATMs on the campus of HDFC Bank and Punjab National Bank.

10. What are the services available in the hostels?

There are four sharing, twin sharing and single AC/Non-AC rooms available in the hostels. Laundry services are offered twice a week and the hostels are also equipped with washing machines. The hostels have a small pantry equipped with a microwave, coffee machine and water coolers. There is also a 24/7 study area in each hostel.
