Research Seminar by Dr. Manoj K Singh on “Role of sub-keV Ge Detectors in Neutrino and Dark Matter Searches”

Sensitivities on several important research programs in neutrino and dark matter physics can be significantly enhanced when the physics threshold can be lowered to extend the dynamic range of signal detection. Germanium ionization detectors with sensitivities as low as 100 eV open new windows for the studies on neutrino and dark matter physics. In this

report we will focus on our research program and results using advanced germanium (Ge) ionization detectors to address the above mentioned issues by following a survey on physics topics relevant to low background and low-threshold techniques, crucial aspects of the detector operation and performance near electronic noise-edge.
