Biotechnology for Young Learners



Biotechnology for Young Learners’ is a student outreach event where the Department of Life Sciences is inviting school students to visit, engage, and learn about research opportunities in life sciences. Although schools provide the building blocks for learning, all learning is incomplete without knowing how this learning can have a positive impact on our society.

At this event, we wish to give snapshots of ‘life as a researcher in Life Sciences’ and allow students to interact with undergraduate students and scientists that can positively impact students' perceptions and understanding of higher education in science as well as appreciating the scientific profession.

This event is funded by SERB and is being conducted under the SSR policy.

The Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) policy has several strategies to encourage scientists and knowledge workers to contribute to society.
