Dr. Balamurugan Balusamy
Associate Dean - Students
A distinguished Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Vellore, Tamil Nadu, Dr. Balamurugan Balusamy has also completed his M.E [Computer Science and Engineering] and B.E [Computer Science and Engineering] from Anna University and Bharathidasan University respectively.
In his previous role, he was associated with Galgotias University, Delhi NCR, in multiple capacities; holding roles like Director of International Affairs, Professor, and Associate Dean (Research) School of Computing Science and Engineering. Prior to that, he served up to the position of Associate Professor during his 12-year stint with VIT (Vellore) from 2005 to 2017. During this period, he actively spearheaded and coordinated many student club activities and technical and cultural fests for VIT. Currently, he’s appointed to the advisory committee for several technology startups and forums.
Dr. Balusamy is actively promoting student engagements in co-curricular and research activities and is keen to provide them an ecosystem for redefining their career goals. He designs and implements activities for developing and overseeing programs which enable students to realize their complete social and personal potential and integrate student life experiences at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR.
In his current role at the University, he acts as a liaison between the Office of Dean Academics and the Office of Students. He mentors students, with the twin aim of fulfilling their ambitions and helping them realize their complete potential.
