The University is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Civil for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of civil projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.

Qualification

First class bachelor’s degree/Diploma in civil engineering from recognized university/institute.

Eligibility criteria

Serving/Retired Junior/Assistant Engineer from MES and CPWD only are eligible to apply

Age

55+ years (Age relaxation will be considered in case of deserving candidates)

Job responsibilities

Recording of measurements: Accurately documenting dimensions, quantities, and observations to ensure project compliance, quality, and progress tracking.

Inspection of works: Periodic inspection of building projects to ensure works are executed according to the design, drawings and specification laid down.
Quality: To ensure materials as per BOQ (Bill of Quantity) are used in the works. Materials non-conforming to specifications are promptly rejected and removed from the site.
Bills: Certifying the running account bills as per actual consumption of quantities and rates as specified in the BOQ (Bill of Quantity) Knowledge about hazardous waste management as per the government guidelines.
Testing: Verification of testing reports of the materials. Monitor construction activities to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.

Project Management: Oversee and manage various phases of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. This includes budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordinating with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.

Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, drawings, specifications, and contracts. Ensure all records are accurate and up to date.

  1. This position will report to Engineer-in-Charge of Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence.
  2. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from a recognized University / Institution.
