Project Research Scientist-III

Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist in an ICMR funded research project entitled “Understanding the origin and regulation of fibroblast subpopulations in fibrosis”, under the supervision of Prof. Colin Jamora, Department of Life Sciences, School of Natural Sciences, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Demmed to be University, Delhi-NCR, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh-201314. Essential and Desirable Qualifications

• Candidates should hold a PhD in related field should hold a Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with five years’ post qualification experience or PhD + two years post qualification experience. For Engineering / IT / CS -Four Years Graduate degree with Five years Experience post qualification or PG degree with three years’ post qualification experience or PhD.
• Previous experience working with mouse and/or human skin is essential.
• Experience with isolation and culture of primary cells, flow cytometry and sorting, immunofluroscence imaging is essential.
• Candidate should be skilled in basic molecular biology techniques – qRT-PCR, PCR, cloning, western blotting, ELISA, etc
• Candidate should have experience in scientific publishing with 2 first author papers or 1 first author papers and 2 co-author papers.
• Previous experience on working with protein purification and trascriptomic data analysis is preferred.
• Previous experience with the complete single cell RNA sequencing pipeline is desirable.

Duration of the project:
Initially 12 Months (Temporary basis), which is extendable depending on funding
Stipend:
Fellowship is 78000/- p.m. plus HRA as per ICMR guidelines.
