Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellowhip position in an ANRF-funded ARG research project entitled “Unravelling the replicative space of hepatitis B virus,” under the supervision of Dr. Naga Suresh Veerapu, Virology Section, Department of Life Sciences, School of Natural Sciences, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, Delhi-NCR, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh - 201314.

Essential and desirable qualifications

• Candidates with a post-graduate degree in basic science (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry) with any National level Test (NET, GATE) qualification are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with experience in the techniques of molecular biology, virology, and mammalian cell culture are given preference.

Duration of appointment: Initially 6 months (on a temporary basis), extendable up to 3 years. This position may lead to a doctoral degree based on performance.

Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- pm + 8% HRA

Project Description: The project aims to characterize the role of auxiliary miRNA biogenesis factors in ageing and age-related diseases using the fruit fly model.
