Invitation of Applications for the post of JRF in an ANRF Funded Project

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow in an ANRF funded research project entitled “Engineered Cementitious Composites: Tailored Solution for Abrasion- and Erosion-Resistant concrete for Hydraulic Infrastructure”, under the supervision of Dr. Nitin Burud, Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, Delhi-NCR, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh-201314. Essential and Desirable Qualifications 

• M.Tech in Structural Engineering/ Concrete Technology 
• A curious and hands-on experimentalist who enjoys working in the lab, learns from failures, and is genuinely driven by a desire to explore and understand material behavior through practical investigation. 
• Strong foundational understanding of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and hydration mechanisms as well as mix design principles of fibre reinforced concrete.
• Expertise in Fracture mechanics of Concrete/ Abrasion-Erosion Testing of Concrete
• Numerical modelling using Finite Element/ Discrete Element Technique 
• Hands on experience in Statistical Data analysis, Material characterization (SEM, XRD, TGA) 
• As per funding agency

Duration of the project:
Initially 12 Months (Temporary basis), which is extendable up to 2.5 years.

Stipend:
Fellowship is 37000/- p.m. plus HRA as per guidelines.
