The Department of Civil Engineering is looking for faculty member in Digital Construction Engineering and Management. This position will enable the development of expertise in emerging areas related to digital construction, smart infrastructure, and technology-enabled project delivery.

Teaching Requirement

The faculty member should possess expertise in Digital Construction Engineering and Management with the ability to teach and develop courses in areas such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), Construction Project Management, Construction Informatics, Digital Twins, Construction Planning and Scheduling, Smart Infrastructure, Infrastructure Asset Management, Construction Automation, and AI-driven applications in construction. The faculty member is also expected to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching by integrating concepts from civil engineering, computer science, data analytics, and artificial intelligence into the curriculum.

Research Requirement

The faculty member is expected to establish a strong interdisciplinary research program focusing on emerging areas including Construction 4.0, Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Construction, Computer Vision, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), Infrastructure Data Analytics, Digital Asset Management, and Sustainable Digital Construction. The candidate should actively pursue externally funded research, collaborate with industry and leading international institutions, supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, and contribute to the development of innovative research laboratories and industry-oriented training initiatives.
