My academic interest is in understanding environmental problems of the developing world with the help of tools from the field of economics. I am also interested in studying issues related to exclusion and discrimination in the context of India. Currently I am working on a project studying the impact of NREGA on distress migration. I have recently completed a research project on green energy innovation in absence of commitment in climate policy. Apart from teaching and research in economics, I am passionate about Indian politics, food and modern Indian history.
